At BRiO, empathy and community are at the heart of everything we do. We want you and your loved ones to feel supported during this challenging time. We offer many different services and resources within our team to bring you the best quality hospice and care for each of your needs.
Our Team
Our team consists of people in so many fields from community outreach, coordinators, nurses, chaplains, physical therapists, billing specialists, and everything in between to bring you the best service possible. We take pride in having employees and volunteers who will listen to your hospice needs and help you with anything they can.
Community Outreach
A major part of what we do here at BRiO is our community outreach. We want everyone in our community to have access to these beneficial resources during a time that can be overwhelming and daunting. We offer educational services and resources to the public to let everyone know what we can offer them and how they can benefit from them. Some of our outreach activities include:
- Community events
- Fair booths
- Sponsorships
- Support groups
Our goal in being actively involved in the community is to help educate others about hospice care and the other health services we provide. We hope that by doing this we can help people whose lives are affected by hospice and who could benefit from the resources we have to offer.
Chaplains
Chaplains are an amazing source of comfort for those in hospice care and their families. They can listen to the patient’s spiritual needs or concerns and offer prayer services to those affected. If you are religious, chaplains can be a major source of peace during a time when it is hard to find it.
Caregiver Resources
Being a caregiver can be a daunting duty to fill as you care for someone with a life-limiting illness. We offer support and resources for caregivers so that they feel more prepared and qualified to do this. Having support can help them delegate responsibilities so that they are not completely overwhelmed by all of these changes.
Social Workers
We have a team of social workers who can provide many different services for you, depending on the level at which you need them. They can provide grief counseling for the patient and their family, and help with financial plans, meals, and other things the family may need help with before and after the patient passes. These social workers are also highly trained to work in the medical field so they understand all of the nuances that come along with that.
Skilled Nurses
We have a team of highly skilled nurses (RNs, LPNs, Nursing Assistants) who will help with the major medical side of things. They curate a specific plan for the patient that will help them feel their best during their time in hospice care.
Volunteers
Since community is such a big part of what we do, we love having volunteers that dedicate their time to spending time with those in hospice care. They truly want to be there to provide you with a listening ear, companionship, and a good laugh to make a difference in hospice patient’s lives.
Activities
At BRiO, we offer two fun activities that occur every month. We have a coloring page contest where anyone can color the page we provide on our website and turn it in to our office for a chance to win a prize. We also have a monthly newsletter called the BRiO Buzz where we update everyone on what’s new with us and the community. These can be great things to add to your daily life when you are in hospice.
